I do not like having to make choices. When I am presented with two options for anything, I often defer to whomever I am with. Chinese or pizza? Splash or Rush? Paper or plastic? Bank robbery or casino heist? Don't ask me, I'll be cool with either.Needless to say, when I am FORCED to make a choice, it overwhelms me beyond description. And right now, I am being forced to make a choice. Okay, well, not RIGHT now. But soon. In March of 2010, my Verizon agreement is expiring. Until recently, I thought I had my plan set: I would abandon Verizon and pick up an iPhone.
That seemed easy enough. I wanted the apps. Man, it really is all about the apps. Over a hundred thousand of them.
But then I heard about the AT&T service woes. The 3G network is the pits. It takes hours to load anything on the browser. Boyfriend Joe drops one out of every two calls he takes or makes. AT&T has shitty service, and that made me reconsider.
And then Verizon released the Blackberry Storm... a supposed iPhone killer. Too bad it wasn't. And so I was back to deciding that I would sacrifice good service for an app phone.
But then Verizon came out with the Droid. I went to the Verizon store and took it for a spin. It seemed awesome! But then I heard about small amount of memory for apps. Substandard apps. An annoying browser. And now I am torn again.
Do I go to AT&T's shitty service to get an iPhone? Do I re-up with Verizon and get a Droid? Sure people say iPhone is coming to Verizon, but yesterday an article hinted that T-Mobile may in fact be the next carrier to get Apple's telephonic gem. WHYYYYYY?
If Verizon would just come out with a fucking iPhone, I would get it. Plain and simple. Of course life isn't easy and I must face such horrendous decisions.
Luckily I have until March to make up my mind, as that is when my contract expires. Maybe by then, Verizon will announce an iPhone. Maybe I'll be that lucky.
At least I hope so.
