Also, it's really weird how "close" I am to the future Obama administration. One of my best friend's father's is a Cook County judge and therefore he's run a lot of campaigns (mostly for re-election) and knows a lot of high profile politicians with connections to Obama - and many of these may get sent to Washington! Take Rahm Emmanuel, for example (whose brother, btw, is the inspiration for Ari Gold [Jeremy Piven's] on HBO's Entourage)...he could be in DC soon!
Finally, Gov. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois gets to choose a person to finish out President-Elect Obama's (i LOVE typing that) term as senator...that's kind of scary consider Blago isn't the most honest politican out there, but hopefully Obama will influence his decision and put someone worthy in? Tammy Duckworth anybody?
